Look but don’t touch.
Today we ventured out to the museum. Remember the dark and dusty museums of old? Well things have certainly changed and I would say for the better. The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) has reinvented itself not only structurally, but it now offers kid friendly hands-on activities. We had a chance to touch and feel dinosaur bones, we got to take our picture with a Sony camera while in a dinosaur costume, and my 7 year old got to pet the Disney-like dino-dressed mascot. We also did some kid-friendly crafts. Everyone had a good time. Kids approved and parents recommended.
For those who choose to pack a lunch, instead of the purchasing cafeteria food, there is a nice space provided for you. If you don’t pack a lunch, they have a nice mix in their Food Studio Cafe.
All in all, if you are looking a good staycation destination here in Toronto, the ROM is a winner.
